Art has the capacity to bring wellness to people with chronic illness like cancer, Sickle Cell anemia. Tender Arts Nigeria through her Art in Medicine project in partnership with Sickle Cell Foundation Nigeria. Children and young persons between age 3years-28 years living with sickle cell anemia in Nigeria have been engaged in art therapy interventions to help them overcome the feelings of being sick, dealing with pain in a positive way and having a hope for a bright future.
"HEALING heARTS" exhibition was officially opened by Frank Sellin the Public Affair Officer, US Consulate Lagos Nigeria. The Arts exhibition runs from June 20th- July 31st, 2016 @ National Sickle Cell Center, Opposite LUTH, Idi-Araba Lagos.
